His work starts to push the legibility boundaries, but is still legible which is personally something important. Mainly interested in the type faces oppose to layout.






Alistair Webb

A typographer that experiments with materials and environment. The result is intriguing design that is eye catching and inspiring.

The colours here work really well. The grey background provides a neutral platform for the colours to work. It stands out, its eye catching and makes me want to read the poster.

The work tells you two things with one word.

an example of how only type can be used in advertising. It is an example of simple type use which results in the advert being easily read, be it magazine, newspaper or billboard.

NIce ad, who did it?

I came across this ad for the Audi A6, not sure who the designer is but think they have done a fine job of communicating the concept. It is made using vector roads and traffic symbols. This is the potential basis in which my work could be used for.
